Next stop, instead of Antarctica we took a detour towards outer space! This was getting scary. We had to put together a performance + fleamarket + CD launch for our first anniversary!

First, we had to arrange schedules such that all the HappyMondays would coincide over 8 recording (super-intensive) sessions in studio with original music and lyrics by Rennie Gomes, Babes Conde and Eunice Olsen.

Then we had to get all the busy parents together for a massive Bakefest that produced the yummiest cookies in the universe! Enough to tempt any space explorer!

Last but not least, we tried to write our own play. Titled, “The Missing Planet”, it told the story of a young girl aspiring to be an astronaut. The challenge proved to be a valuable experience for all of us as we grew more confident with every rehearsal. There were hiccups of course, but everyone encouraged one another even when we were upset with ourselves and the mistakes we'd made! At the end, the audience laughed and I am glad that we managed to put together a great show! This would not have been possible without 23 student teacher volunteers who cheered us on when we were down, and reminded us when to go on and get off stage, our tireless parent volunteers who cooked for us and made us up and got our costumes on the right way up (not upside down).

Thanks to all of you....we found the Missing Planet and followed our dreams...
