End of Term - Showcase No. 2
On 6th June, Saturday, the little ones gathered on an unnamed planet and held their breaths. Before the show began, Hailey's comet streaked across the sky revealing a milky way of tiny stars...
Let me tell you how it all started. It was of a story not so long ago...
A group of Art explorers must have ventured off-course. Obviously, they weren’t so good with maps. It seemed they have entered unknown territory. Notwithstanding our super10001SWF radar, missing planet simply could not be found on the map! These little art explorers had made a BIG discovery They called it the Missing Planet and made it their new home.
The Art explorers started establishing themselves as Little Arts Academy on their new found home. They would celebrate their achievements and success in a series of not-so-unfortunate events in ten weeks time.
This term the children in My First Collection baked muffins and created a poetry sheet based on the song "Do You Know The Muffin Man". They also learned about the planets and made a short animation about aliens and planets with digital cameras and Windows Movie Maker that will be posted on youtube shortly.
The students in Petit Mondrian (Fine Arts) went on an excursion to The Arts House and learned about its history and architecture whilst sketching in the big outdoors. They also made egg tarts and created a recipe book based on these egg tarts. Finally, they created a 3D animated dance video with software where various aliens they had created showed off their dance skills.
