Okieokie, I know this is pretty weird for someone to blog a dorama after Japan has just aired its Episode 6. Yesh, you heard it from me - "Just". Managed to watch the last 15mins live streaming... will hunt for a full and better version tomorrow when I do have the time.

Usami Kei is a salaryman who has risen in status due to his engagement with Mei, the wealthy daughter of his company's president. Shortly after she breaks off the engagement, a power failure leaves him stuck in the elevator of his apartment building. Trapped with him are three others living on the same floor - Airu, a trilingual interpreter, Ojiro, a model photographer, and Masato, a psychiatrist. While waiting, their conversation hits upon their love lives and the question of whether there is truly only one fated partner for everyone. As a result, they decide to try "shuffling" their relationships with each other. --Tokyograph

Why follow?

Pro:

1) For the girls: Bishounen or Hunks or whatever you call them. Tamaki Hiroshi (from the Nodame Cantabile fame) , Matsuda Shota (from the Hana Yori Dango), DAIGO (from the J-Rock Breakerz) and Tanihara Shosuke (haha, sumimasen - do not know him that well).

2) For the boys: Pretty, stylo, kawaii or whatever you name them. My Fav as Karina (from Galileo fame) and the rest such as Yoshitaka Yuriko (sweet looking girl), Kanjiya Shihori (kawaii looking) and Kojima Hijiri (sexy, matured lady)

3) Interesting characters: there are IT pimp, Bimbo Woman, Meek Rich Girl, Stylo Mindlo Interpreter, Dorky Rich Stock Trader, Yasashii Doctor, Suicidal Arts Student and a Seemingly Flirty cameraman. Everyone of them has their own "background story" which are pretty amusing in some way (at least to me

4) Plotwise : Or should I say... is the "real plot" of this "Love Shuffle" Game. Seriously, this looks like a psychological test that the Doctor is implementing by shuffling different people around and looking at the changes it will bring to everyone in the group. A suicidal girl might find her "true love" in the group and decide not to go for the suicide. The torn lovers might be back together again....after rounds of shuffling (learning the fact that "original" is the "best"?) etc....

5) Guessing the OTP (One True Pairing) Game for the viewers: Haha, this part interests me... because, you can always find chemistry between this and that and it makes you wonder will it really ends up in this way... so on and so forth... Just like you are watching any anime, reading any manga or any novel (Lolz, shipping Ron and Hermione in Harry Potter as an example)

6) Guessing who is the one that the Doctor's x-gf looks like: For episode 5 and 6..... Lolz, this is interesting because the scriptwriter has inserted quite a bit of smokescreen for you to guess and when the true answer is revealed. It should be rather "surprising" to many - I suppose. But not really to me - because... once you know the answer, it does make sense to some of the dialogues mentioned when the Doctor is talking to that particular character and bit of the Love Shuffle Game origin.

Con:

- Not really that I can think of - if you just want to catch some japanese drama and waste every hour of the week. But just to satisfy your curiosity if you are wondering is the series popular in Japan...? The answer is... Average. With a rating fluctuating from 8 - 10.... i guess this is pretty average.
